About me...

I was born and spent most of my childhood in Hong Kong and began to teach yoga in London in 2002, so I have 15 years' teaching experience having worked in London gyms and yoga centres as well as having taught alot of private and corporate work.

I have spent time studying Iyengar and Sivananda yoga but was soon drawn towards the challenges and dynamism of Ashtanga yoga, which is now my dedicated practice. Hamish Hendry at Ashtanga Yoga London has been my teacher now for 13 years. He is currently the only Certified Ashtanga teacher in the UK.

I have completed two teacher training qualifications (both Yoga Alliance recognised), and maintain my link with Asia by going to learn more from my teacher in Thailand, Paul Dallaghan (also Certified) once a year.

I initially began yoga as a form of exercise and to de-stress. I lived life at a fast pace and needed something to slow me down and focus my mind. Through practice, I began to realise that yoga was far deeper than I had ever imagined. It has had a profound impact on my life and has shown me clear guidelines on how to live life – it has provided a philosophy for life, without dogma. Sure, it involves the body but one’s state of mind and attitude to it is of greater importance. I have had such a positive result through the practice of yoga and would like to share what I have learned with others.
